Our identity is heavenly bound, not earthly. When we said yes to Jesus, and gave our lives to Him, we left our earthly identity behind. We became divine rulers, together with our King, Jesus.
Man often connects his identity to earthly matters. This keeps us from realising our full identity in Christ.
We connect our identity to what we own. If we have a fancy watch and nice wheels, we’re valuable. If we succeed at work and have a great career, we’re valuable.
However that’s not how our King measure our value. And it’s not how he wants us to define our identity. Our identity is not bound by what people around us say.
It’s defined by inheritage. And it says that we’re children of the most high God. It says that heaven rules, while all earthly matters will not prevail.
